As promised

Here are some of the things that I have been making for the Craft Fair that I am having.  I am planning to write out a pattern for one of the hats, and the stars.  Are you interested, or is it pretty much the same old same old?

The blue green & white yellow hats are the ones that I am planning on writing the pattern for.  You can't see it here, but there are little criss crosses in the pattern.

The green hat is actually a pattern from Lion Brand (September 26: Autumn Harvest Hat), three cheers for another item off my big long list!!  There is a better picture of the hat on the project page.  And the scrubby -- it's a new one by Laurie, the vertical stripes scrubby.  I'm excited to say that I inspired these patterns.  Glad to be an inspiration, girl!  :)  I have also been sewing some skirts.  I still need to get pictures of my Easter skirt, but I LOVE it!  :)

Birthday in Disneyland

I am sure it seems like I have abandoned you all, but I swear that is not the case!  I actually had a birthday last week (the 18th) and then with Easter this past weekend, I just got distracted.   My awesome hubby actually threw me a surprise party for my birthday -- it was fantastic!!  I have actually been crocheting a lot -- and sewing more too!  I have decided to have a Spring Boutique Craft Fair at my house in May (the 21st, let me know if you live in So Cal and want the location) and so I have been in overdrive getting ready for that.  I am planing to sell things for the home (coasters, coffee cozies, and pot holders) and the head (beanies and headbands). haha  I actually have way  more items already made than I thought, so I am working on finishing up the rest of what I want to accomplish (65 more things) in the next 26 days! The doilies are being put on  hold for just a bit.  I really hope this fair goes well.  My profits will be going towards a missionary family moving to Indonesia (10%), supplies (10-20%) and getting a business / resale license (70-80%) so I can have a booth at our local farmers market this fall!  Anywho, here are a few pictures from our day at Disneyland.  Enjoy!

If I remember, I will post a few pictures from when we got STUCK in Alice in Wonderland!  Craziness!

Table Set

I wanted to share my most recent creation with you.  I made this doily, first in a set of three.  The next doily will match this one (approx. 12" x 16"), but the last one will be approximately 12" x 36".  It will be interesting to see how that turns out.  I used sized 3 crochet thread.  I think that's the biggest thread.  That made the pattern work up pretty quickly! haha

Can you tell what I am making now?

I am excited to finish up that project and start my next.  But that remains a secret too! haha  I also finished another beret for my sista, but I have not gotten a picture yet.  Plus, I think it is too small for her. Bummer.  I want to design my own slouchy / beanie / beret patterns... so we will see how that goes!

Mint Chocolate Chip Beanie

I love pattern testing!  Just had to get that out there.  It means I get a sneak peek at patterns -- and I have free access to some BEAUTIFUL patterns!  I do a lot of testing for Laurie, as you already know, but I just finished up this sweet hat for Amanda at Pardon my Chaos.  I made a couple sizes, just to see how it worked, and to use up some gorgeous yarn!  I call it my Mint Chocolate Chip beanie.  I'm not sure why, but it just looks like Mint Choc Chip ice cream to me (I think it's the greens, browns, and whites..... don't know what that means for the pink!)

These are all phone pictures, so pardon the blurriness!  I am really happy with how the hats turned out though!

More Eggs

I went on an egg cozy craze last week!  After making the black sheep, I quickly whipped up these chicken and ducky cozies.  Too bad I am so slow at getting pictures taken!  What usually happens is I use my work break to go outside and get pictures (you can see the office's lawn and picnic table in these pics)  haha  Here are a few pictures of the Ducky (Apr 2: Ducky Egg Cozy) and Chicken (April 1: Chicken Egg Cozy).

I really love the pattern for the chicken.  I thought it was well written and the final product was beautiful (well as beautiful as a chicken egg cozy can be!)

Do you see the hidden ducky egg cozy?
As always, their project pages have been updated, as has the completed projects page.  I am so glad to be ready for a holiday early this year (yes, my Easter decor is up!  Woo hoo!)

Luck O the Irish

I realized that I never shared pictures from our annual St. Patrick's Day celebration with you all.  This year we tried Harp's Lager and Guinness, naturally, as well as chocolate stout ice cream -- soo good!

What did you do to celebrate the day o green?

Broken Links Scrubbers

I have been testing out some of Laurie's new patterns.  I love using these in my kitchen.  Once they get stinky, I just throw them in the dirty rag / towel pile.

A friend just moved into a new home, and I wanted to give her a little something.  One of these scrubbers was just the perfect gift!

Do you use reusable dishrags?
